Our Renovation Architectural Process

  • We begin with an initial briefing to understand your goals, lifestyle and the issues within your current home. This is followed by a site measure of the existing building and property, gathering information on structure, layout, condition and constraints to establish a clear foundation for design.

  • We explore early ideas through sketches, layout studies and 3D architectural modelling. This stage focuses on improving circulation, increasing natural light and resolving the pain points of your existing spaces while identifying opportunities for reconfiguration or extension.

  • We refine form, materials and detailing, reviewing structure, joinery and spatial relationships to ensure the renovation integrates seamlessly with the existing building and performs well long-term.

  • We prepare drawings, specifications and technical documentation required for building consent. We manage communication with the council and consultants to support a smooth, compliant approval process.

  • We remain involved throughout the renovation, reviewing work on site, supporting your builder and ensuring the new design is delivered accurately, and in line with the intended architectural design.

  • We also provide other services covering master planning, resource consents, feasibility studies and permaculture design.
