A large corrugated iron storage shed on Mapua Wharf was given a major
renovation job and has been transformed into a trendy boutique brewery and
bar.
The clients wanted a stylish but industrial looking establishment, to reinforce that it was a working brewery. They also wanted the patrons to see 'behind the scenes' and admire the state-of-the-art equipment while enjoying the finished product. There was limited area to work in, but with clever arrangement of spaces, everything was accommodated. The palette of colour and materials was kept to a minimum to avoid dominating the stainless steel brewery equipment. The front of house area features a beautifully crafted timber bar and timber lined kitchen pod.
