A multi-functional building was required when the Mount Cosmopolitan club

and local crochet and bowling clubs merged.

Assistance was sought to rationalize the design and generate an iconic form to house it all. Loosely based upon the form of Mt Maunganui and design influences from the local marina the result anchors the site and surrounding playing fields. Large north outdoor spaces on both floors overlook the crochet fields and a direct line of sight to the Mount is achieved.
