Mount Pharmacy

A creative solution was required for a pharmacy located at Mt. Maunganui.
The clients brief identified the sea and port as being important themes to reflect its location. As a result we devised a concept of the inside of an old trading ship, bringing in exotic perfumes and treasures. Vertical shelf supports were modified to look like the ribs of a hull. Timber posts and beams located down the centre of the space form a back drop for products and displays. Timber screens over the existing windows were created to look like port holes. Specific lighting continued the marine theme and a mirror at the end of the display was installed to give the illusion of the continuation of the hull. As a result holiday goers and pedestrians are attracted to this unique interior.
